Can I manage everything (data, maps, users, documents) myself and not use any OTD data management services?

A

Yes, you can manage all aspects of your project through your web browser with user interfaces to manage data, maps, users, documents, graphs, email notifications, Environmental Quality Standards and much more.

Can I outsource the data management, or parts of it to OTD if I don't have the internal resources?

A

Yes, OTD has data managers who can support parts or all of your eFacility® project.

Which laboratories support the eFacility® format for analysis of water and soil samples (Environmental Monitoring module)?

Can the SIDTM field computer be used independently of eFacility®?

Yes, SIDTM has been designed to be able to operate independently of eFacility®.


Q5

When I try to download a file, a new window briefly opens and then disappears and no file is downloaded.

This is caused by a default security setting in Internet Explorer. www.eFacility.co.uk needs be treated as a Trusted Site.

To change the setting, select Tools > Internet Options > Security tab - Click the Sites button and add the following URL to the list of trusted sites:

https://www.efacility.co.uk

If the restriction is still a problem, then you also need to check a security setting in related to Trusted Sites that may have been altered from the default setting.

From the Security tab - click the "Custom level.." button. Scroll down the list until you find the Downloads section and Setting: "Automatic prompting for file downloads". This should be set to "Enable".


Q6

When I try to download a file, such as an Excel spreadsheet, the browser returns an error message.

A

This is caused by a default security setting in Internet Explorer.

To change the setting, select Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > scroll down to the Security section and de-select "Do not save encrypted pages to disk".
